Denzel Washington portrays the South African activist Steven Biko in this movie directed by Richard Attenborough. Filmed on location in Kenya and Zimbabwe.

A World Apart, a film by Chris Menges. "Apartheid threatens to tear her from her 13-year-old daughter when the first white woman - a journalist - is arrested and put in solitary in 1963 for defying the South African government".
